Chester “Chet” Sheldon, Sr. Chet passed away Sunday, September 6, 2020. He was born December 2, 1948 to Kathryn and Richard Sheldon Sr. He graduated from Belfast Area High School in 1966. He was a bus driver for 43 years at the Belfast School District. He loved his co-workers and all the families he met along his route over the years. In his younger years, Chet enjoyed spending time at the family camp, fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Big Bucks Club. In his later years, he liked to watch the Patriots and have friendly wagers for bragging rights with co-workers over the outcome of the games. He especially enjoyed going to Lenora and Dennis James on the 4th of July and catching up on old stories. He was looking forward to meeting his new great granddaughter in December. He was predeceased by his parents, his special Aunt Lib Gibbs, and her husband Melroy Gibbs. He is survived by wife Norma Sheldon, daughter Traci, son Skip and fiancé Audree Roy and children Abby and Andy, his grandson A.J. Chasse and wife Natalie. His sister Linda and husband Earl Schultz, brother Richard and wife Linda, cousin Larry Bragg and wife Janis, and many nieces and nephews. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
