Obituary of Meda M Rapoza

Meda May Rapoza, 92, of Bayview Manor in Searsport Maine passed away July 19, 2020, at Waldo County General Hospital.   She was born to William Phillips &Nellie (Gray) Phillips in Belfast, Maine on October 4, 1927. She married the late Antone Rapoza Jr. in 1945 and they lived together for 49 years in Belfast Maine. Meda is survived by her 2 children; Michael Rapoza and wife  Sharon of Northport, and Annette Howard of Searsport; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren & two great-great-grandchildren; her special friends Charles Gilmore,  Nancy, and Greg. Meda was predeceased by her parents; husband in 1994 and a son Tony Rapoza in 2014 and her four sisters and five brothers, and very special friend Ginny Clark. She worked many years at the shoe factory in Belfast and then at Penobscot Poultry for a short time before working at Harbor Hill in Belfast for over 20 years before retiring at the age 82. Meda loved to play bingo, her scratch-off tickets, and pull tabs. She loved going to Hollywood Slots Casino playing the slot machines. Meda also loved to read when she wasn't playing bingo. Meda will be missed and loved by many. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021, at 2 pm at Grove Cemetery in Belfast, Me.
