Obituary of Jennie M. Libby

Jennie M. (Ellis)Libby, 76 of Belfast, passed away on Friday, April 17th at a Belfast Care Facility. Jennie was born on October 13, 1943 to Blanche and Ambrose Ellis and was a lifelong resident of Belfast, Maine.  She graduated from Crosby High School and worked for many years at Penobscot Frozen Food.  She married Melvin Libby on June 1st, 1968.  She was a devoted wife and very loving mother.  Her family meant everything to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her siblings Jim Ellis, Judy (Clarence) Flagg, June (Whitey) Raymond, Janice (Ken) Gilmore and Her son Melvin “Skipper” Libby III,  Melvin and Myrtle Libby,   Melivina (Gardner) Rhodes. She is survived by her husband of 51 years Melvin Libby and her children Stephen (Melissa) Libby and Lisa (Kevin) Libby-Jewell, her grandsons Riley Libby, Jamie Bartlett, Conner Libby, Daniel Libby and great granddaughter Kassidee Rae Jennie Bartlett.  Her brother and sister John and Barbara Ellis, Dickie (Caddie) Littlefield, Punkey (Buddy) Giggey and many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews and her favorite fur baby Lola. Jennie loved her family most of all and when you visited with her you could certainly tell, it seemed that time would stop as she gave you her undivided attention.  She would make special treats and delighted in family get-togethers. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always making her family laugh.  She would draw you in with her love and have you come in and stay a while. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
