Linda Marie Mank, 77, of Hope passed away, January 24, 2020, due to complications from surgery at Maine Medical Center in Portland. She was born to parents Leonard and Una Ames, March 7, 1942, in Rockport. Linda graduated from Rockport High School in 1960. She married Sydney Mank in 1981. Linda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. You would always see her playing games, reading, doing puzzles or just hearing about their day. Linda went bowling frequently with her husband, Sydney. She loved to braid rugs and teach others how to braid rugs. Linda loved her flower gardens and built rock garden beds. She enjoyed many years in Girl Scouts and was a leader alongside her mother, Una. Linda also had a strong relationship with God and could always be heard singing hymns, playing the piano, and writing poems as she walked with Him through life. In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her grandson Adam Sabins and a sister, Mildred. Linda is survived by her husband Sydney, and four children, Michael Mank and his wife Melissa of Hope, Leonard Ames and his wife Eileen of Hope, Aprilann Keller of Hope, and Ronda Verges of Florida. She is also survived by grandchildren, Chelsea Mank, Courtney Mank, Patricia Cochran, Jonathan Keller, Autumn McDonald, Amanda Sabins, Amelia Verges, Kristin Weed and Jonna Merryfield; as well as nine great grandchildren, and three siblings, Margaret, Leona and Granville. In accordance with Linda’s wishes, there will be a celebration of her life in the spring.
