Obituary of Dorothy A. Koski

Dorothy Koski of Lincolnville Maine passed away on Tuesday November 19, 2019. Dorothy was born on May 25, 1932 in Medford Massachusetts to the late Aldo and Florence Carmolli. She graduated from Medford High School in 1949. Dorothy married her high school beau, Richard Koski on February 22, 1951 and moved to Amherst, MA while he completed college at University of Massachusetts. In 1955 she traveled to Schweinfurt, Germany for 18 months while her husband was stationed there with the United States Army. Upon returning Stateside, they lived in Berkley, MA on The Wirthmore Feeds Research Farm from 1957 – 1965. They then moved to and settled in Lincolnville. Dorothy was very family oriented. Her greatest joy came from raising three children who were the light of her life. She worked several years at the Down East Magazine and later at the Lincolnville Telephone Company until her retirement in 1997. Dorothy enjoyed a lifetime of musical study and performance in percussion, voice, piano and ultimately the organ. She has long been prominently associated with The Music Venue at the Christian Science Church in Camden, the United Christian Church in Lincolnville Center and a most fulfilling position as organist and choir director at the John Street Methodist Church in Camden. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband Richard of Lincolnville; her children R. Alan and his wife Janet of Weld, daughter Dawn of Lincolnville and Jonathan and his companion Leslie Silvia of Rockland; her siblings, Jane Ribble of Boothbay; E. Marston Carmolli and his wife Ethel of Scarborough, Carole Heard and her husband Roy of Dallas, TX and David Carmolli and his wife Judy of Sebring, FL. There will be a private family service.
