Obituary of Rita L. Nelson

Rita L. Nelson, 71 of Swanville, passed away October 18, 2019 with her loving family by her side. Rita was born on November 10, 1947 in Belfast to the late Earl and Helen Clements. Rita enjoyed spending time with her family; her husband David, her dog Boomer, her grandchildren and great grandchild. She also enjoyed crafting and camping with the family at Garland Pond. Rita was predeceased by her son Wayne Lewis and by her siblings, Kathleen and Jean. Surviving are her husband David Nelson; her sons, John Lewis and his wife Tammy and Kevin Lewis and his wife Renee; her daughter-in-law Kristin Lewis Jordan and her husband Craig; her brother Richard Clements and his wife Cindy; her grandchildren, Stefan, Rachel and her husband Alex, Tristan, Landon, Olivia and Alexandra; her great granddaughter Aubrey; her beloved dog Boomer and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday November 2, 2019 at the Searsmont Fire Station, 1 Pond rd., South Searsmont, ME. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Rita’s name to your local animal shelter.
