Obituary of Robert Lewis Coburn
ROBERT “BOBBY” LEWIS COBURN, 53, of Winn, died June 24, 2009 at Penobscot Valley Hospital in Lincoln. Born August 19, 1955, the son of Robert and Nettie (Linscott) Coburn. He was pre-deceased by both his parents. Robert is survived by his wife Janice (Peters) Coburn, his two sons Jonathon Coburn and wife Kristin; grandchildren, Riley, Griffin, and Madigan of Mattamiscontis; other son Seneca Coburn and his companion Sarah Heald of Chester; grandson Maklah and his mother Kelli McLeod of Lincoln; grandchild Keegan Dill and his parents Lorna and Ryan Dill of Lincoln Robert also leaves behind a brother Vance and his wife Kay of Kingman and brother Barry Coburn and wife Shirley Ray of Calais; his sisters Colleen Getchell of Massachusetts; Sheila Doane of Ellsworth and Tammy Worster of Winter Harbor; his two aunts Ginny Coburn and Beulah Coburn of Monson; also a special cousin Judy Gordon and husband Ivan of Mattawamkeag and family; also many nieces and nephews. In addition he leaves behind his mother in law Joline Peters of Winn; a sister in law Belinda Libby and her husband Terry of Winn; Wayne Peters and his wife Lynn; Rany Peters and his wife Sue; Bruce Peters and wife Beth and their families. Along with having many friends, Bobby loved spending time with his grandchildren and friends. He enjoyed racing stock cars and later on watching the races. He had a heart of gold and was very generous with his time. The family requests in lieu of flowers that you do something kind and generous for others the way Bobby lived his life. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday July 1, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kingman Cemetery. Arrangements under the care of Direct Cremation of Maine 182 Waldo Avenue Belfast.
