Obituary of Marilyln Sporie

FREEDOM MARILLYN C. SPORIE, 82 of Freedom, died in Augusta July 8, 2009 surrounded by her family. She was born February 19, 1927 in Freedom, daughter of Adonis and Violet (West) Hamel. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She is predeceased in 1997 by her husband of over 50 years, Richard Sporie. She is survived by three daughters, Gail Galbraith of Florida, Glenda Demos and husband Richard of Florida and Augusta, and Donna Sporie and Glenn of Freedom; eight grandchildren, Deborah Train, Denise Lipka, James Keller, Kathleen Carle, Pamala Savage, Mary Littlefield, Richard Keller and Ryan Keller; as well as 10 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 10th at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Freedom. Those who wish may make donations in Marillyn’s memory to the wonderful people at Beacon Hospice.
