J. LAURENT BERTRIN LANDRY, 76, died 8/8/2009 at his residence in Sebago. He was born in Fort Kent on August 19, 1932, son of Conrad Joseph and Celina Agnes Landry. He left Fort Kent at age 11 for Waterbury, CT and was educated there. He served in the U.S. Army from 1949-1952 and returned to continue his education. He went to work in the timing industry and was asked to teach Industrial Arts which he did from 1964 until 1984. He later worked as a toolmaker until his retirement in 1994. Joseph is predeceased by his parents and a sister, Jeannine Labrecque. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Landry of Sebago and his son Joseph of East Hartford, CT; grandchildren Joseph and Myah; five brothers Richard of Oakville, CT, George and James of Naugatuck, CT, Gilbert of Pittsford, NY, Randolph of Delton, FL; two sisters, Frances O'Connor of Wolcott, CT and Eleanore Landry of Bantam, CT. Funeral service will be held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Rt. 93, Bridgton, Maine on Monday, August 17 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at the church for friends to greet the family.
