KRISTEN ANDREA DOWNS, 39, died unexpectedly August 26th at a Portland Hospital. She was born October 3, 1969 in Brunswick, the daughter of Frederick Downs and Susan Lauchlan. She was a 1987 graduate of Morse High School. She loved serving her customers at the IGA and was a bright light to all she interacted with. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Kenneth Crawford of Old Orchard Beach; her son Frederick Crawford of Old Orchard Beach; step daughter Naomi Crawford of Washington; maternal grandmother Barbara R. Flood of Belfast; father and step mother Frederick and Georgia Downs of Arrowsic; her mother and partner Susan Lauchlan and Kathleen Murphy of Waldo; sister Valerie Downs of Raymond; step sister Karyn Caron of Bath; several aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece and a nephew. Friends are invited to graveside services Saturday September 5th 11:00 a.m. at the Grove Cemetery in Belfast. Friends that wish may make donations to the Maine Head Injury Foundation.
