RANDALL “RANDY” C. BANKS, 52, died unexpectedly September 21, 2009 at his residence in Belfast. He was born March 6, 1957 in Belfast, the son of Robert and Edie (Verakis) Banks. He was a 1975 graduate of Belfast Area High School and married his love, Jan, in 1982. He worked for over 30 years in his family business, Banks Brothers Machine Shop. Randy loved his family - his wife, his girls, his parents, his brothers, nieces and nephews. He loved his farm, guns and hunting. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Edie Banks of Belfast; his wife of 27 years, Jan Crosby Banks of Belfast; his children, Mallory and her fiancé Ryan Harnden of Augusta and Claire Banks of Belfast; his brother Michael and wife Stacey Banks of Belfast, his brother Dennis and wife Therese Banks of Lewiston; his sister and her husband, Heidi and Herb Witzinowski of Germany; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 24th. Funeral services will be held Friday 11 a.m. at First Church in Belfast, Court Street, Belfast. Interment will be at the Banks Family Cemetery.
