LOUISA V. LANOUETTE, 86, died peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family on October 18, 2009. She was born in Vanceboro, Maine July 12, 1923, the daughter of Enos and Retta (McLaughlin) Carter, Sr. She loved being in the outdoors and gardening. She and her late husband, Charles, in their 50s built a house together from the ground up. She loved landscaping and making the grounds beautiful, raising her family and making sure everything was done “home-made” was something she strived for. She also enjoyed “going out galavanting”. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Charles; also a brother Enos “Buddy” Ray Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Charlene Spear of Searsport; her sister, Retta VanHaight of Massachusetts; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Spear of Massachusetts, Caroline DiGloria of Searsport and Jennifer Spear of Massachusetts; three great-grandchildren, Alecia, Danny and Heather of Massachusetts; three great, great-grandchildren, Alana, Ryan and Kaidan of Massachusetts. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
