Rosaline Whitcomb Obituary

ROSALINE B. WHITCOMB, 92, died October 28, 2009 at her residence in Brooks. She was born in Millinocket August 16, 1917, the daughter of Michael and Anna Georgianna (Matton) Burke. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and worked for many years as an LPN both at Meister’s Nursing Home and Waldo County General Hospital. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild and her cats. She was predeceased by her husband Orville in 2003 and is the last of her siblings. She is survived by six children, Victor, Emery, Michael and William, all of Monroe; Rozita Myers of Jackson and Howard of Brooks; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great, great-grandchild; a special relative, Maxine Flanders; a special friend, Nancy Kragh. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
