Obituary of Edward Sylvester

Edward Sylvester, 72 of Unity, died December 22, 2009 at Eastern Maine Medical Center. He died from pnemonia, copd and malnutrition after a short stay in the hospital. He was born in Unity Dec. 5, 1937 to Percy and Louise Moreau Sylvester. He worked at the Log Drive in Winslow, Penobscot Poultry in Belfast and for the last 30 yrs he cut fire wood. Edward is survived by his five sisters, Christine Bishop of Pittsfield, Thelma Bishop of Unity, Helen Dawson of Troy, Marie and husband Ralph Bishop of Troy, Barbara Cote of Winthrop. He thought a lot of a special cousin ,Steve Anderson of Unity. There will be no funeral services per Ed’s wish. He will be buried by his two brothers at Pleasent Hill Cemetery in Freedom this spring. Arrangements are being handled by Direct Cremation of Maine.
