Obituary of Dorothy Clark N

Dorothy M. Clark of Belfast passed away January 27, 2010. She was born October 31, 1910 in Frankfort, the daughter of Hollis M. and Clara (Colley) Black. Dot was a member of Stockton Springs Community Church, the Former Bayview Rebekah Lodge of Stockton Springs, the former Utopian Club of Stockton Springs, and a long-time member of Waldo County Women's Extension. She was a homemaker and enjoyed doing for her family and the community. She enjoyed cooking and was always ready to help on benefit suppers and food sales. She loved her flower gardens and working with people in the community. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, playing cards, and life in general. She was predeceased by her husband Bernard E. Clark in 1967 and is survived by her children and their spouses, Basil Clark Ph.D.and Margaret Ann of Midland, Michigan, Dana Clark and Rachel of Brewer, Patricia Winsor and Tom of Norway, Maine, and Arthur Clark and Paula of Sherman, Texas. She is survived by her grandchildren, Dawn Cormier of Norway, Dorothy Mackendrick and her husband John “Max” of Pacific Palisades, California, Sarah Jane Clark and her husband Randy Wanat of Lowell, Massachusetts, and Tim Clark and his wife Ann, of Midland, Michigan. She is survived by a great-grandaughter, Emily Patrice Cormier of Norway, Maine. A memorial service will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in her memory to the Stockton Springs Steeple Fund, Save Our Steeple, c/o Seaboard Federal Credit Union, PO Box G, Bucksport, ME 04416-1207, Attn: Darlene.
