Ann Knoeller Obituary

Ann R. (Correty) Knoeller, 77, of Stockton Springs, formerly of Southold, New York, passed away on February 15, 2010 in Belfast. She was born on September 24, 1932 in Catskill, New York, the daughter of Alvah and Stella (Golan) Correty. In Ann’s earlier years in Freeport, Long Island she was active in the Girl Scouts of America, she also worked for the election poles. In her leisure time she enjoyed boating, and family get-togethers and was an avid fisherman. Ann was also involved in a men’s poker group in Stockton Springs in which she was the only female. She is predeceased by her parents. Ann is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, William “Bill” Knoeller of Stockton Springs; her children Dorothy Davidson and significant other Jack of Boynton Beach, Florida, Barbara Knoeller and husband Tim Fisher of Melville, NY, and William Martin Knoeller of Eastern Long Island, New York; her siblings Barbara Correty of Upstate New York, Stephen Blumenberg of Freeport, New York, and Butchie Correty of Kerhonksen, New York; eight grandchildren Robin, Brooke, and Brian Davidson, Timmy, Kristy and Kelly Fisher, William Oaks, and Jenny Knoeller; great granddaughter Ellie Knoeller; nieces and nephews, Viola Whaley, Walter Grabowski, many others, and her dachshund who was her closest companion, Ira. Friends are invited to call at 3-5 p.m. on February 18th at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast. Burial will be held on Friday February 19, 2010 at 12 noon at Maine Veterans Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta, Maine. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.ripostafh.com
