Obituary of Fannie E. Clements

FANNIE E. CLEMENTS, 89, passed away March 23, 2010 at Harbor Hill in Belfast. She was born in Belmont on March 31, 1920, the daughter of Harry and Alberta (Clement) Greer. In her early years, she worked for the public finance company and was a medical receptionist locally for Dr. Black. Fannie’s most recent employment was as Registrar of Deeds for Waldo County for 25 years. She was a member of the Belfast O.E.S. and enjoyed bowling, playing golf and traveling. Fannie was predeceased by her husband, James and is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Carol and Georgia Clements of Rhode Island; two grandchildren, James and Theresa Clements and Lori and Alan Richards, all of Rhode Island; four great-grandchildren; a nephew and two nieces. Friends may call Thursday, April 22nd from 6-8 p.m. at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. April 23rd with Rev. Joel Krueger and Rev. Kate Winters officiating. Interment will follow at the Grove Cemetery in Belfast. Those who wish may make contributions in Fannie’s memory to the YMCA, 157 Lincolnville Avenue, Belfast, ME 04915.
