Obituary of Richard Lerman
Richard Lerman, 66, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 17th at Cedars Nursing Home in Portland, Maine surrounded by his wife, Connie and two stepdaughters, Susan and Stephanie. Richard "Dick" was born in Portland, Maine on August 16, 1943. He attended Deering High School and graduated from Iowa State University.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Connie Lerman, 3 children Andrew Lerman and wife Candy, Matthew Lerman, and daughter Helaine Seaton and husband Eric, 3 stepchildren, Susan Bailey and husband Chris; Stephanie Brett, and Allan Breau; 10 grandchildren Jarrod, Mallory, Derrick, Tiffany, Alex, Jacob, Christopher, Heather, Courtney and Amanda; and his beloved brother Stephen Lerman.
Before suffering a stroke 8 years ago, "Dickie", was the co-founder and co-owner of Pleasant Day Nursery School. Working with children was one of his greatest joys. He had a wonderful sense of humor, loved animals and classic cars. He always loved spending time with his grandchildren and traveling to Pennsylvania with his wife.
The family would like to thank the staff at Cedars Nursing Home for their comfort and compassion during his lengthy stay there. A special thanks to Bill who patiently and lovingly shared Dick's great sense of humor and friendship.
