CHARLES W. GROOMS, 18 of Damariscotta, passed away April 20, 2010 in Peru. He was born January 18, 1992 in Wichita, Kansas, a son of Claude and Rebecca (Judkins) Grooms. He received his GED in July 2009 and attended SMCC studying new media and computers. His talents included cooking, woodworking, computers and electronics. He was a collector of eagles. For those who knew him, Charles was generous, sensitive and liked helping others. He had a good heart and wanted to be loved, appreciated and happy. He loved dogs and dreamed of joining the military. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Albert Judkins and Chuck White. Survivors include his mother, Rebecca Parks and husband Bruce of Damariscotta; his father Claude Grooms of St. Joseph, MD; siblings AJ and wife Megan, Ashley Grooms and Shawn Grooms; maternal grandmother, Thelma Judkins of Peru; paternal grandmother, Thelma Goin of St. Joseph, MD; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Charles’ life was cut short at a young age. He was loved and will be missed by his family. Memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Monday, April 26th at Dresden Community Church.
