Obituary of Catherine Harvey Hemenway

CATHERINE (HARVEY) HEMENWAY, 73 of Searsmont, passed away on June 3, 2010 in Belfast. She was born February 26, 1937 to Marguerite and Kenneth Harvey of Frankfort. She worked for 28 years at Belfast poultry plant and then five years with National Sea following by 10 years at Ducktrap River Fish Farm. Catherine was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She lived for her family and cared for and loved everyone she touched in life. She loved to cook, work in the garden and flower beds, work on puzzles and card games with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her siblings, Clarice Belden, Edward Harvey, Merwin Harvey, John Harvey, Richard Harvey and George Harvey. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Steven Hemenway of Searsmont; her children Kenneth Seekins and wife Gloria, Marguerite Seekins of Searsmont, Ella Colson and partner Brady Larrabee of Knox; grandchildren Tina Spencer, Mark Fuller, and Samantha Colson of Knox, Carrie Boland and Mandy Wood of Searsmont as well as seven great-grandchildren; her siblings, Diane and Lawrence Seekins of Frankfort, Eva and Sam Doolan, Susanna and Butch Grindale and William and Sue Harvey of Belfast, Betty and Edward Hodgdon of North Searsport, Eleanor and Richard Drouin of New Hampshire, Donna Gordon of Madison, and sister in law Sonya Harvey of Searsport; also countless nieces, nephews and extended family. She will be greatly missed by everyone who loved her. Rest with the angels.
