Louise Smith, age 60, of Lincolnville Beach, ME, died peacefully at home on August 31, 2010 after a ten year battle against breast cancer. Ms. Smith was born and raised in North Adams, MA and was a graduate of Emmanuel College in Boston, MA. She worked for eight years in the Massachusetts State House where she met her husband, Rich. They were married in Concord, MA in 1987. For over nine years they resided in Christiansted, St. Croix, USVI where Louise enjoyed the blue Caribbean Sea and made lifelong friends. Most recently, Louise particularly enjoyed the past three years working at the Law Offices of Susan C. Thiem in Lincolnville. ME. Louise is survived by her husband, parents Clemens and Margaret Danylowitz of North Adams, MA, a sister, Shereen and her husband Peter and son Christopher of Carmel, NY and three brothers: Thomas of Adams, MA; Russell of Arizona and Edward of Florida. A family memorial service will be held at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord, MA and will be officiated by the family’s close friend, The Reverend Anthony J. Creane.
