CLARA K. MAHEUX, 88, passed away September 21, 2010 in Augusta. She was born in Hawaii on March 18, 1922, the daughter of Aiau and Hilda (Naihe) Aina. Clara worked at Edwards Manufacturing in Augusta for many years. She adored her family and in her spare time enjoyed playing Beano, playing cards, gardening and traveling. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph “Blackie” Maheux whom she dearly missed since his passing; her parents; several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her siblings, Lucy Fong of Hawaii, Gerard Aina of California and Alexander Aina of Hawaii; her children, Robert Maheux and wife Jeanne of Augusta, Leroy Maheux of Augusta, Maurice Maheux and wife Diane of Manchester; her grandchildren, Kathy Malloy of Augusta, Bob Maheux of Augusta, Becky Maheux of Litchfield, Michelle Boucher of Pittston, Sherry Potter of Whitefield, Shawn Maheux of Augusta, Crystal Maheux of Augusta, Mariah Maheux of Manchester; great-grandchildren, Rusty Maheux of Augusta, Adina Mahuex of Richmond, Tracy Maheux of Augusta, Troy Maheux of Augusta, Amber Michaud of Gardiner, Jeremy Thomas of California, Ryan Boucher of Pittston, Amanda Potter and Richie Potter both of Whitefield, Mathew and Michael Musselman both of Augusta, Olivia Maheux of Augusta; great great grandchildren, Kai Mitchell and Austin Acord, both of Richmond.; many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held at Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta at 10 a.m. Monday, September 27th. On-line condolences may be offered to the family at www.directcremationofmaine.com.
