ELEANOR F. (DOHENY) CRAIG, 87 of Groton, Massachusetts, passed away on September 27, 2010 in Belfast, Maine. She was born on January 31, 1923 in Brookline, Massachusetts, the daughter of Edward and Emma (Nason) Doheny. She grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts and graduated from Brookline High School. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and was a nurse at New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston for many years. Eleanor was quite a seamstress making clothing as well as christening and communion gowns for her children and grandchildren, and also enjoyed quilting, crocheting and many crafts. She is predeceased by her parents; her husband, John T. Craig; three brothers; one sister and a son, Francis Craig. Survivors include her children Karen Craig-Foley and husband Rick Greeley of Lincolnville, Lynda Craig-Bowes of Townsend, Massachusetts, Eleanor Gavazzi and husband William of Groton, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Melissa Foley Krygowski and husband Robert of Burlington, MA, Matthew and Edward Bowes of Townsend, MA, William, Amanda and Steven Gavazzi, all of Groton, MA; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
