Obituary of Edward W. Gotham

EDWARD W. GOTHAM, 68 of Knox, passed away September 30, 2010 at Togus. He was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on July 13, 1942, the son of John and Grace Gotham. He was a U.S. Army veteran who enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He ministered at various Baptist churches, most recently at West Winterport Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Ed enjoyed music, cars, boats and the water. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister Sandra Berry. Survivors include his loving children, Ed Gotham Jr. of Belfast, Timothy Gotham and wife Elizabeth of Northport, Rebecca Adriance and husband Adam of Knox; his significant other, Ada L. Gordon of Searsport; siblings, Harry Gotham, James Gotham, John Gotham, Dora Gagne, Electa “Lucky” Gagne, Priscilla “Chubby” Gagne, Roseanne Padgett, Phyllis Jedney, Melenia Tallard; his grandchildren, Brett, Sandra, Amy, Ed III, Kassydi, Gaige, Christina, Gavin, Braiden; several nieces and nephews as well as his three dogs, Duke, Misty and Lily. Private memorial services will be held at Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta. Arrangements are under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
