Obituary of Sanya D. Shackford

SANYA D. SHACKFORD, 78, passed away October 4, 2010 in Belfast. She was born in Monticello, Maine on December 18, 1931, the daughter of William and Erma (Stockford) Folsom. She was a graduate of Zion Bible Institute. Sanya loved her family, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed gospel music, game shows and playing Bingo. She will be remembered as a kind woman by those who knew her. She was predeceased by a son at three years old, William and brothers, Austin, Randolph, Alton and Spencer. Survivors include her children Nancy Scott and husband Lewis of Littleton, Kenneth Shackford of Belfast, Philip Shackford and wife Jessica of Auburn; siblings, Inez Sanborn of Houlton, Alden Folsom of Cary, Patricia Grant of Tennessee and Leston Folsom of Portland; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and special friend and caregiver, Donna Cheney of New Brunswick, Canada. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
