Anna L. (Wood) Scribner, 93, passed away October 28, 2010 in Belfast. She was born May 31, 1917 in North Searsmont the daughter of George and Nora (Higgins) Wood. Anna graduated from Crosby High School in 1937. She worked locally for many years in the clothing and shoe factories. As a young woman she was a member of the Eastern Star, Rebekah’s, and Equity Grange. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Donald Scribner Sr. of 49 years and her five sister and three brothers. Anna is survived by her son Donald Jr., his fiancé Jamie Shenk of Washington, and her grandson Cory Scribner of Bangor; her special nieces, Donna Hall of Parkman whom she raised and Hazel Pendleton of Belfast; a special nephew Ralph Wood of Morrill and other family members. Funeral Services will be held at the Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, Monday November 1, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Private interment will be at the Morrill Village Cemetery.
