Obituary of Frederick J. McCollor

Frederick J. McCollor, 70, of Waterville died December 15, 2010 at Oak Grove Center , a two year survivor of lung cancer and brain tumors, passed due to complications from a stroke. Born February 24, 1940 in Crisfield, Maryland to Roy A. and Idella Howard McCollor. He served in the US Air Force from 1959- 1963. Fred worked for the State of Maine for 28 years and was an avid amateur radio enthusiast, his call sign was K1DAP. He also loved to ride his motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. McCollor; a sister, Mary Jane Baker; son, Frederick J. “John” McCollor, daughter, Cheryl Stanton, grandchildren; Danielle Poulin, Christopher Stanton and Shelby Stanton; two nieces, Debbie Baker and Lynn Bickford. Services will take place at a later date in the spring of 2011
