SHIRLEY L. PILGRIM, 69 of Bethel, also known as "Chez" went to meet "many" of her famly members who have already passed from lung cancer and dearly missed son on December 19th in West Paris, Maine. She was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on July 16, 1941, daughter of John and Rita Lopresti Sr. She was known for being stubborn and raising hell. Loved her hats. More recently she volunteered at the Bethel Clothing Exchange. She went to meet her higher power by her choice of no treatment, with strength and dignity. She was true to her being to the end. Shirley was predeceased by her parents and her son Keith Pilgrim Sr.; sister Margaret Wilson Lopresti; brother Alfred Lopresti; brother Roger Lopresti Sr and son-in-law David N. Guay. Survivors include her ex-spouse and long-time friend, Robert Pilgrim Sr.; her children, Robert Pilgrim Jr. and Melissa “Maleza” Pilgrim Lopresti; brothers, John Lopresti Jr., Raymond Lopresti, Harold Lopresti; sister Carmella Lopresti; grandchildren, Jason Silva, Keith Pilgrim II, Robert Pilgrim III, William Pilgrim, Jenell (Pilgrim) Robinson, Ariana Pilgrim Guay, Tyler Daman, David Pilgrim Guay, Andriadora Pilgrim Guay, Jordan Pilgrim Hanson; Autumn Rayne Pilgrim Giberson; great-grandchildren, Tayla Pilgrim and another baby girl ‘on the way’; nieces and nephews, Angela Lopresti, Dawn Lopresti, John Lopresti, Lisa Lopresti, Roger Lopresti, Anthony Lopresti, Al Lopresti, R.J. Lopresti, Harold “Hack” Lopresti, Angel Lopresti, Anjanette Wilson Lopresti, Tom Daman, Rita Lopresti, Luigi Lopresti, Melanie Lopresti (Potenza), Miranda Drinkwater (Potenza), James Wilson II, Joey Lopresti, Mike Lopresti, Gina Lopresti, Matthew Potenza, Marina Potenza, Mercedes Potenza. A celebration of Shirley’s life will be announced in the spring with a graveside service at Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn, Massachusetts to rest in the family plot.
