Mildred Spaulding Obituary

Mildred Spaulding passed away peacefully on December 20th at Tall Pines Nursing Home in Belfast, ME at the age of 99. She was born October 26, 1911 in Northfield Falls, VT, the daughter of Pearl E. Pryor and Belle Lennox Pryor. She married William Spaulding in 1935 and they moved to East Barre, VT where they lived and raised their family until William passed away in 1967. She was a long time member of the Congregational Church and was very active in the ladies auxiliary and taught Sunday School for many years. She was the secretary to the Commissioner of Water Resources for the State of Vermont until her retirement. She moved to Belfast, ME with her daughter and son-in-law, John and Linda Dutcher, in 1999 to be near her family. She is survived by two children, Phillip Spaulding of Lewiston, ME and Linda Dutcher of Belfast, ME, as well as four grandchildren, Christine Kelley and Douglas Domenichelli both of Belfast, ME, Brian Spaulding of Wellesley, MA and Jana Spaulding of Cumberland Center, ME. She also has three great-grandchildren, Nicholas Kelley and Kyle and Daniella Domenichelli all of Belfast. She had four brothers, Frank, Gerald, Paul and John Pryor and one sister, Madeleine Riddell all deceased. There will be a graveside service for Mildred in Barre, VT in the spring.
