Obituary of Mary Chevalier

Mary Chevalier, formerly of Cliffwood, New Jersey, passed on December 27, 2010 after 12 years of suffering with Alzheimer's. She passed quietly in her sleep at Amenity Manor in Topsham. She was 85 years old. The cause of death was heart failure. Mary J. Chevalier was the daughter of Margaret Shields and Alfred Shields of Newark, New Jersey. Her husband Henry J. Chevalier died in 1998 and is buried in The William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, New Jersey where Mary will join him. She is survived by her loving daughter, Renée Chevalier, who has cared for her for the last 12 years of her life as wellas her two sisters, Margaret Thomas of California and Jane Brush of Georgia. At Mary's request there will be no viewing or wake. She wanted her daughter to attend a private cremation ceremony. Her remains will be brought by her daughter to her final resting place.
