CAROLYN E. (LaPIERRE) ROKES, 81 of Belfast, passed away on January 8, 2010 in Bangor. She was born on August 25, 1929 in Greenville, New Hampshire the daughter of William G. and Margaret (Wiggins) LaPierre. She worked for The Republican Journal for many years and played the organ at the First Baptist Church in Belfast. She enjoyed going fishing and boating with her husband. Carolyn is predeceased by her parents; her husband, William Rokes, and infant daughter. She is survived by two sons, Charles Rokes of Maine and David Rokes of New Hampshire; a grandson, John David; siblings Sylvia Huntington of New Mexico and Howard LaPierre and wife Dee of California. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
