PAUL PHILIP ZAIKARITE, SR., 64, died unexpectedly at his home on January 14, 2010. He was born in Hartford, Connecticut on May 24, 1946, the son of Philip and Irene (Brown) Zaikarite. He retired from Pratt & Whitney after 35 years, then moved to Belmont with his family in 2005. He was a member of the Moon Masonic Lodge in Rockport. He loved his wife and children and spending time with his family. He had a passion for his Harley Davidson, his Kubota, his animals, gardening and fishing. He was predeceased by his father and is survived by his mother of Connecticut; his wife of 16 years, Lisa Zaikarite of Belmont; his children, Paul Zaikarite Jr. and wife Susan of Florida, retired Sgt. (U.S.M.C.)Mark Zaikarite and his wife Tracy, Melanie Naja and husband Dave of Florida, Leah Foti of Belmont; two brothers, Philip and his wife Marianne Zaikarite and Peter Zaikarite, all of Connecticut; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 19th at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Court Street, Belfast.
