Obituary of Eugene Dubord

Eugene U. Dubord Jr. (Gene) Jefferson, Maine -- Eugene U. Dubord, Jr., 72, died unexpectedly Friday, January 14, 2011 at his home. He was born in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, July 10, 1938, son of Barbara and Eugene Sr.. He lived in Bridgewater for the early part of his life until he moved to Maine. Gene was known as a man of many talents or a jack of all trades. His career consisted as being a welder, truck driver, electrician, plumbing and heating technician. He was always willing to lend a hand. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, model trains and planes, talking on the CB and spending time with family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Eugene Sr. and Barbara Dubord, his son Rene Dubord, son-in-law Darryl McRae, a pet parrot “Winkie”, and his mother-in-law Margaret B. Short. Gene was married three times and had a large family. Gene was a father to 7 children, a grandfather to 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Jacqueline (Short) Dubord (Jefferson, Maine). His children: Eugene U. Dubord III and wife Jeanne (Viroqua, WI), Dwayne Dubord and wife Angela (Springfield, OR), Catherine (Kitty) Dubord (Las Vegas, NV), Roswell Dubord and wife Roxanne (Waldoboro, ME), Donald “Scott” Dubord and companion Melissa Kelley (Gardiner, ME) and Naomi Williams and husband Donald (Vassalboro, ME). Gene will be sorely missed by all. His memory will live on, though he has left us so soon. A celebration of his life on will be determined at a later date and a private burial will occur in the Spring with the immediate family.
