Dana A. Brown, 57, of Topsham, Maine passed away on February 6, 2011 at the Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine, after battling lung cancer. Dana grew up in Centerville, Mass and was a graduate of Barnstable High School class of 1972. Dana later spent 32 years living in Los Angeles, where he worked as a bookkeeper in the entertainment industry. In 2005 he relocated to Maine where he lived with his 3 beloved cats. Dana had an extraordinary flair for needlework. One of his exquisite pieces won him the Judge’s Award at the 2010 Common Ground County Fair in Unity, Maine. He is survived by his sister, Dianne B. Davis, of Boylston, Mass. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory are welcome to the Frannie Peabody Center, 30 Danforth Street, Portland, Maine 04101.
