Elizebeth “Betty” Veronica West, 64, died Thursday February17th, 2011 at Tall Pines Nursing Home in Belfast, surrounded by her family. Betty was born November 30th, 1946 in Queens, NY daughter of Emery and Patricia Johnson. She worked in the restaurant business for several years and as a home maker. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and was a beautiful seamstress. Gardening was a favorite of hers, but what brought her the most joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She was predeceased by both parents and two sisters, Harriet and Theresa. She was survived by her husband and soul mate; William West of Swanville, brothers Emery Johnson and wife Kathi, and Timothy Jerome of Bucksport, her daughters Sarah and husband Scott Hopkins, Trisha Johnson and Partner Steve Kenney all of Searsport, Mollimay and Mohammad Ismail of Centreville, VA. Grandchildren Alexia, Mathew, Michael, Scotty, Justin, Chris, Joshua, Kaitlyn, Justin and Lynsey.
