Obituary of Joyce A. Drinkwater

JOYCE A. (PARKER) DRINKWATER, 82, died April 21, 2011 at a Rockland nursing home. She was born in Poughkeepsie, New York February 9, 1929, the daughter of Clayton and Carrie (Buckner) Parker. She was a homemaker who enjoyed the “TOPS” group. She liked being by the bay, singing and playing her saxophone. She loved her family. She was predeceased in 2009 by her husband Oscar and is survived by her five children, Gary Drinkwater and his wife Susan of Northport, Kim Drinkwater and his fiancé Luanne Adams, Jamie Drinkwater and his wife Tracy, Chris Drinkwater, all of Northport and Jay Drinkwater of Frankfort; two brothers, Frank Parker and his wife Gloria of Camden and Alton Parker and his wife Connie of Lincolnville; nine grandchildren, Joshua, Nate, Carrie, Daniel, Sarah, Allison, Dylan, Evan and Taylor; two great-grandchildren. A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held Friday, April 29th at 3 p.m. at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast. Interment will be at East Northport Cemetery.
