Obituary of James David Drennan
STRONG and MILLINOCKET - James David Drennan, 53, died April 23, 2011, from a very rare form of pancreatic cancer. He showed courage and resiliency throughout his battle with the monster that claimed his life. He was born in Columbus, Ohio, the son of James and Verna "Sandy" Drennan. He was the assistant mill manager for Geneva Wood Fuels, Strong. Jamie graduated from Miami of Ohio University with a five-year bachelor's degree in pulp and paper, and a master's in business administration. He worked for many years at Great Northern Paper Co., Millinocket, as a process engineer. Jamie loved spending time at his camp with the love of his life and "The Girls." He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Cleveland Browns. He leaves behind his wife, Becky of Millinocket; a stepson, Brian Tatun and wife, Glaucia, and grandson, Caibre, of Lebanon, N.H.; his mother, Verna "Sandy" Drennan of Conifer, Colo.; his brother, Larry and wife, Dale, and their children, Andy and Emily, of Bakersfield, Calif.; and a special grandson, Rowan Tatun of Cornish, N.H. He was predeceased by his father, James Drennan of Conifer, Colo. He also leaves behind very dear friends who participated in many good times - you know who you are. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in Jamie's memory to Katahdin Area Support Group, 10 Field St., Millinocket, ME 04462.
