PHILIP E. DOW JR., 42, died April 27, 2011 at his residence in Calais. He was born June 4, 1968 in Willimantic, Connecticut, the son of Philip and Patricia (Santerre) Dow Sr. He was a truck driver who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and friends. It was said he had a very big heart to all. He was predeceased by both grandparents, Emery and Vivian Santerre and Philip and Ruth Dow. Philip is survived by his mother and father of Calais; his wife of 19 years, Petra Dow of Calais; three children, Philip E. Dow III, Christopher Dow and Amanda Dow, all of Calais; three brothers and sisters, Paul Dow of Baileyville, Lori and her husband Shawn Currie of Sidney, Michael Dow of Calais; two nephews, Alec and Dylan Currie. Funeral mass will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 6th at The Church of Immaculate Conception of Calais. Arrangements are under the care of Direct Cremation of Maine, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
