LIDA W. YEATON, 99, died June 18, 2011 at a Searsport nursing home. She was born in Cranberry Isles on August 14, 1911, the daughter of Joseph and Carrie White. Lida was a hard worker. She worked on the family farm in Knox 24/7, 365 days a year most of her life. She was a quiet lady who enjoyed cooking and gardening, tending to her flowers. She is survived by her children, Alice Porter of Thorndike, Allen Yeaton of Belmont, Richard Yeaton and his wife Florence of Belfast, Sharon Schwindt and her husband Mike of North Dakota and Donnie Yeaton of Texas; her sisters, Rita Fitch of Florida and Margaret Farmer of Deer Isle; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 22nd at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday.
