DOROTHY MAE (KEENE)BUTLER, 83, passed away June 23, 2011 in Belfast. She was born in Liberty December 7, 1927 to Alexander and Berniece (Howard) Keene. She loved birds, especially her pet canaries. Dorothy was predeceased by both parents; two brothers and a sister as well as infant twins. Dorothy is survived by her children, Dorothy Collins and husband Donald of Searsmont, Raymond Butler and wife Kathy of VT, Kenyon Butler and wife Jan of CT,Veronica "Roni" Hamm and husband Rudy of Morrill, Duane Butler and wife Connie of Morrill, Beverley Hustus and husband Victor of Monroe; her siblings, Alex Keene of Belfast, Jean Bower of Belfast, Faye Carr and husband Jerry of Union; her long-time companion Everett Clark of Searsmont; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Pen Bay and at Harbor Hill, especially Kristy and John. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. July 2nd at Oak Grove Cemetery in Searsmont. Arrangements are under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast. On-line condolences may be offered to the family at www.ripostafh.com.
