Glenys Monteith Obituary

Glenys A. Monteith, 95, died 7/20/11 at Tall Pines in Belfast. She was born September 28, 1915 in Monroe, the daughter of Carroll and Lillian (Fleet) Clements. She farmed with her husband in her early years, both in dairy and poultry. After his passing, she started a new career as a nurse’s aide working locally until her mid-70s. Glenys enjoyed reading, needlework and watching television. She is predeceased by her husband and is survived by her children Patricia Sweetland and her husband Byron of Burlington, Paulette Pert and her husband Edgar of Searsmont; five grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 25th at Pilgrims Home Cemetery in Monroe with Rev. Ken Davenport officiating.
