Obituary of George S. Spencer

George S. Spencer Sr. went on to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the age of 95. He loved the Lord, hunting, fishing and sailing. He would tip that boat on its side until the numbers were under water. He was a brave man who worked as a farmer for a long time. George was also a care taker at University of Massachusetts and The Brian Homestead in Massachusetts.
George is survived by his loving wife, Alda M. Spencer, his daughter Peggy and her husband James LaFlame of Massachusetts; two grandchildren, Timothy LaFlame and Tina LaFlame, three great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son, George S. Spencer Jr. and daughter Patricia Corcorn. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10th at the Lighthouse Bible Church, 86 Prospect Street, Searsport. Arrangements are under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast. On-line condolences may be offered to the family at www.ripostafh.com.
