Sandra Louise (Brown) Hoffman Wellman ,65, died Aug. 16, 2011. Sandra was born Aug. 20, 1945 in Belfast, ME., the first daughter of Robert and Marion (Whitcomb) Brown. She was a 1963 graduate of Crosby High School. She became a licensed beautician following training at D’Lor Beauty School. Sandra held various jobs including Tibbett’s Industries, Camden and Penobscot Poultry Company, Belfast. Following the closing of the poultry company, she relocated to Pasadena, TX where she worked for Exxon/Mobil, then Wal-Mart. She finished her working career as a housekeeper for a local nursing home in Texas. Some of her favorite pastimes included babysitting for young children, volunteering at a nursing home, reading and sewing. Sandra was pre-deceased by her infant son, Frank Hoffman III in 1974, and her parents. She is survived by her God-child, Tessa Thompson, of Pasadena, TX, sister, Brenda Davenport of Mt. Vernon, brother Chuck Brown and wife Jane of Hull, TX., nephews Robert Brown of Pasadena, TX, and Christopher Connor, wife Shannon and children Dylan and Haley of Bucksport. She will be sadly missed by Karen Love and many other friends. A memorial service was held at Pine Tree Lodge in Pasadena, TX. on Aug. 20. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday Aug. 26, at the Paul Cemetery, Birches Rd. Waldo, ME. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute to a charity of their choice.
