Obituary of Karen Ronnlund

Karen Ronnlund, 62, of Wells and formerly Highland Falls, N.Y., died from Acute Mylogenous Leukemia on Monday, Sept. 12, 2011. She was the loving mother of Erin Maher of Wells and Matthew Maher of Brooklyn, N.Y.; sister of Lynn Ortenzi of Fairlawn, N.J.; and aunt of Anthony Ortenzi of New York, N.Y. Karen was predeceased by her parents, Hedwig and Carl Ronnlund of Highland Falls, N.Y. She is survived by her loving family and friends and dear and caring co-workers of Beacon Hospice. Her fierce compassionate and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Karen was courageous, dynamic, feisty and ever-inspiring, always questioning, forever loving. She touched the lives of everyone she knew. Services will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 1035 Lafayette Road, Portsmouth, N.H., Saturday, Sept. 17, at 3 p.m., with reception to follow.
