Obituary of Robert Charles Thomas

ROBERT CHARLES THOMAS, 66, passed away at his residence in East Millinocket on October 26, 2011. He was born August 11, 1945 to Adna M. and Lillian (Davis) Thomas. He graduated from Brownville Junction High School and Farmington State College and was a member of the National Honor Society. He taught school in East Millinocket and sold life insurance. He worked maintenance more recently at McDonalds. He was a simple man who wanted to bring glory to God. He said he was blessed with wonderful relatives, friends and co-workers. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved his family dearly and would do anything for them. His grandchildren were especially dear to him. Bob enjoyed people and could strike up a conversation with anyone, anytime, anywhere. He will be greatly missed by all. Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lois (Meier) Thomas of East Millinocket; his daughter Amanda (Thomas) Howell and grandchildren, Ashlynn and Brady of Bangor; brother Richard Thomas of Williamsburg, Maine; sister Carolyn Connelly and husband Edwin of Waynesburg, PA; in-laws, William and Colleen Meier of Yarmouth, Linda Karnes of Scarborough, Steve and Darlene Linskey of Falmouth, Clifford and Barbara Meier of Barnstead, NH, Beth Meier and husband Jacobus, Martin and Kristy Meier of Lisbon Falls. Memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, October 29th at Calvary Temple Assembly of God in East Millinocket with Pastor Herschel Hafford and Pastor Reginald Adams officiating. Interment will be in Yarmouth.
