Lisbon, Maine Charlotte Rainha of Lisbon, Maine died peacefully at Androscoggin Hospice House on November 7, 2011. She was born May 5, 1926 in Marlborough MA to Simon and Alexandrine Riani. She was married for nearly fifty years to Henry Rainha. She worked for many years as an insurance secretary. She was a proud member of the Citizens Patrol with San Bernardino county, CA and was awarded Citizen of the Year. She was a master quilter, and seamstress. She loved animals, nature, gardening, and reading. In addition to her years spent in Maine and Massachusetts, she lived in Southern California, and Wisconsin. She was predeceased by her husband Henry Rainha, her son Richard Rainha, and her brother Francis Riani. She is survived by her daughter, Charlene and husband Curvin Farnham of Hampden, and daughter Janice and husband Rick Felker of Springfield MO, her sister Marie Dafoe of Austin TX, her grandchildren Jamison Rainha, Kimberly Stubbs, Bethany Farnham, and several step grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. At Charlotte’s request there will be no services, and in lieu of flowers please donate to a favorite charity or animal shelter. Online condolences may be offered at www.directcremationofmaine.com.
