MARION F. SKEHAN, 73, died peacefully December 22, 2011 at her residence in Searsmont. She was born in Searsmont on January 14, 1938 to Lawrence and Hilda (Rice) Harriman. She worked for many years at Corning in Medfield, Massachusetts, then worked at many stores locally such as Ames, Rite-Aid and B&M Market. She was a member of Rebekahs #89 OES of Bridgewater, Massachusetts. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Melvin and her daughter Pamela Jean. Marion is survived by her children, Linda Gibbs of Searsmont, Rosalie Dionne of Massachusetts, Audrey Owens of Tennessee; her step-daughter Patricia Skehan of Massachusetts; her brothers and sisters, Gertrude Morgan of Florida, Lawrence Harriman Jr. of Texas, Darryl Harriman of Georgia; special friend, Marie Fuller; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call from 4-6 p.m. Monday, December 26th at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Ken Davenport officiating. Interment will take place 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 28th at Canton Corner Cemetery, Canton, Massachusetts.
