Obituary of Louise Butler

LOUISE BUTLER, 84 of Belfast, passed away at home surrounded by her family on March 14, 2012. She was born in Belfast, Maine, the daughter of Clement and Blanche Holmes of Belfast. Louise was an avid bowler in her younger years having won the City championship. She also enjoyed traveling with her family and friends, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Albert Butler; her daughter Annette Solebello of Portland; a sister Catherine Gilmore of Belfast. Louise is survived by her children, Donald Butler and wife Sandy of Las Vegas, Nevada, Elaine Jaffin and husband Bob of Rochester, New Hampshire and Jeanne Brigham and husband Bill of Topsham; her siblings, Charles Holmes and wife Marion of Belfast and Bernard Holmes and friend Debbie Peterman of Belfast; her grandchildren, Toby Butler of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, Melanie Johnson of Stratford, New Jersey, Corey Brigham of Topsham, Maine, Mark Solebello of Portland, Maine, Kyle Solebello of Westbrook, Marlana Solebello of Ashland, New Hampshire; great-grandchildren, Kayla and Zachary Johnson of Stratford, New Jersey and Victoria Butler of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, Mason and Owen Brigham of Topsham. She will be greatly missed by life-long friends, Harold and Connie Jones of Belfast and traveling buddy, Wilma Moses of Belfast. Memorial services will be held in the summer and announced at a later date. Those who wish may memorial contributions in her memory to the American Cancer society, Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
