Obituary of Dolores D. Stevens
DOLORES D. STEVENS, 53, passed away on April 1, 2012 at a Belfast health care facility. She was born May 4, 1958 in Bangor. Dolores had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed camping, barbecues, cooking, loved going fiddleheading and digging dandelion greens. She had earned two associate degrees, one in accounting and one in business. She worked for At Work Accounting and also provided private tax and accounting services for many families in Waldo County. Dolores loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was a long-time member of the Swanville Community Church where she was baptized.
Survivors include her parents, Owen and Sandra (Pappas) Larrabee Sr.; her husband of 15 years, Douglas Anthony Stevens of Monroe; her children, Douglas Lloyd Stevens of Monroe; two step-children, Michael and Craig Stevens, both of Florida; her brothers and sisters, Linda Bizier and husband Paul of China, Thomas Johnston and wife Donna of Searsport, Larry Larrabee and wife Tami of MN, Owen Larrabee Jr. and wife Kathy of Belfast, Greg Larrabee and wife Tisha of Brooks; and long-time special friend, Cheryl Farmer.
A celebration of Dolores' life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7th at Swanville Community Church with Rev. Rick Lambert officiating. Those who wish may make donations in Dolores’ memory to Special Olympics Maine, call Linda Fredericks at 207-879-0489.
