Barbara Diane DiBiase Farmer Perry
~ Barbara Diane DiBiase Farmer Perry went to her well-earned glory with her Lord and Savior on April 19, 2012 with her beloved husband, Herbert by her side and her family gathered about her.
She was born on September 15, 1933 in Portland to Barbara and Richard DiBiase. She was raised by her beloved grandparents, Margie and Percy Farmer. Barbara was a graduate of South Portland High School and Fisher Business School. She retired from Brockway Smith in 1991. Barbara loved to dance and sing and often displayed her talent in stage productions as a young woman. She was an avid bowler.
She was an active member of the South Gorham Baptist Church and cherished the love of her church family. Barbara lived her love for her Lord daily.
Her greatest joy in life was Herbert J. Perry, Sr., her best friend and beloved husband of 59 years and her family. Barbara was the mother of 6 children, the grandmother of 15, and the great-grandmother of 12, as well as foster mother to countless others. She was pre-deceased by her grand-daughter, Kelly May Preston and her grandson, Isaac Preston, her sister, Marjorie Nelson and her brother, Percy L. Farmer. Barbara is survided by her husband, Herbert J. Perry, Sr. of Gorham and her children, Cynthia, Deborah, Herbert Jr., Anna, Ronald and Kimberly (CD HARK).
A memorial celebration of her life and love will be Wednesday, April 25th 2012 at South Gorham Baptist Church at 6pm with reception to follow.
